The definitive Dutch tastemakers Dekmantel Soundsystem bring the Dekmantel name to Jæger in their first ever visit to Oslo. What started out in 2011 as an event series with a focus on Detroit House, the name Dekmantel today is synonymous with music that shakes up dance floors the world over. It’s a label and its subsidiaries, a festival and a DJ collective like no other.
The label, which has also recently given birth to the Techno-orientated UFO imprint, has featured the likes of Palm Trax, Robert Hood and Peter van Hoesen just to name a select few, while the festival is a Mecca for any discerning music fan. At the core of Dekmantel are a group of DJs founded by Thomas Martojo and Casper Tielrooij, who inform everything that is Dekmantel and who often bring their unique musical tastes to clubs and festivals the world over as the Dekmantel Soundsystem. Listening to the Dekmantel Soundsystem is being informed on the latest tracks, often from the Dekmantel label, that are lighting up dance floors everywhere. It’s a rare insight into the musical tastes and working that inform one of the biggest club-music institutions in the world today.
