- After last month’s brilliant night with Milton Jackson Tronicsole returns with special guest Billy Shane from Brooklyn to help Tronicsole Launch it's new compilation album Tronicsole:The Sessions. The Sessions documents the recent ascendancy of the imprint with a mixed selection of 20 tracks from the label perfectly segued by Hiro. Quite a few of these tracks are provided by Tronicsole discovery Billy Shane who burst into the house scene last year with his debut ep on Tronicsole. Billy Shane began listening to house music back in 1988 while skateboarding around New York City and New Jersey. It was the first time he was introduced to DJ'ing, mixing records and early house music from Bobby Konders, Frankie Knuckles, and the early acid tracks coming out of Chicago. Several hundred nights and raves later, Billy started buying records and eventually landed a residency at one of the newly equipped DJ lounges that had started popping up in Manhattan's East Village. Within weeks he was picked to play in the upstairs house room at Plush's Jungle Nation - New York's biggest Drum and Bass party at the time. It was also around this time that Billy Shane with two friends started the infamous Touch parties. After two years of steady loft-like events, Touch moved to Centro-Fly for a monthly residency. Playing to over a thousand people a night Billy instantly became one of New York's hottest DJ's and started touring nationally and internationally as a result of his talents. From there Touch went on to Shine and began weekly events bringing in world renowned guests like Kevin Saunderson, DJ Hell, and Satoshie Tomeii to name but a few. Tronicsole welcomes one of NYC's best kept secrets to spin at the happenning night. As usual support more than ably supplied by the eponymous Hiro.
