  • Russian Underground Mafia, Bumpy Traxx, KGBeats Records, Highway and Yummi Detroit presents the best of Russian house and techno talent from around the world. The sickest electronic beats from top Moscow artists and DJs with support from their American friends will tear up Nocturnal's world famous terrace for a night of excellent music and a twisted afterhours that will go until 2pm on Thursday. Mike Spirit’s Highway Records and Grad & Rust’s Bumpy Traxx definitely are the best Russian techno/house labels at the moment. Highway was started only in 2008 but in spite of such young age this Mike Spirit’s imprint became really popular in Russia and quickly achieved large success and recognition in Europe and all around the globe. The main goal and mission of the label is to promote talented Russian sound producers. Mike Spirit — the proud label owner — recruited a lot of famous artists for Highway Records: international electronic stars like Robert Babicz, Tigerskin, Sasse, Kolombo, Gui Boratto, Pascal FEOS, Tom Pooks, Da Fresh, FEX; Russian producers SCSI-9, Seva K, Vadim Lankov, Pr. Morriarti, Raymond Obouvie, Spieltape, Nikitin & Semikashev, Andrey Loud, BarBQ, R-Tem — just to name a few. Bumpy Traxx is run by well-known Russian house DJ Anatoly Grad and Chicago born Roustam Mirzoev (Rust). Bumpy Traxx’ sound is a fresh mix of contemporary techno and house music. There’s only one label release at the moment — Grad’s “Free Your Mind” tune remixed by Swanky Tunes, Nikitin & Semikashev and 4Mal, and it has received massive support across the board from Roger Sanchez to Mistress Barbara. So there is no doubt that Bumpy Traxx has a great future with upcoming releases by Dmitry Bobrov, Nikitin & Semikashev, Swanky Tunes and Rust himself On the 25th of March at the legendary Miami venue Nocturnal Terrace Highway Records and Bumpy Traxx will combine efforts with their American partners and friends from Chicago, Detroit, New York, Miami and Philadelphia to present the most high-quality and relevant Russian techno and house music for an amazing non-stop 14 hour dance marathon from late evening well into the next day, that’s sure to be the talk of the town during wmc 2009 SCSI-9 Perhaps the most well-known and accomplished Russian electronic project. Anton Kubikov and Maxim Milyutenko are genuine stars of Moscow’s nightlife. SCSI-9 are arsists of the famous and legendary Cologne Kompakt label, also the duo has releases on such imprints as Traum, Trapez, Force Tracks, Morris / Audio, Highgrade to name a few. He also is the host of the radio show Highway on Moscow’s nationally syndicated radio station Megapolis 89,5 FM. Rust Moscow born, Chicago raised DJ that has now returned to his homeland after 13 years in the USA. Roustam Mirzoev is the bridge between the US and Russia at this party, holding both citizenships and being a co-owner of Bumpy Traxx label and official representative of InGrooves Digital Distribution (San Francisco) in Russia. At the moment Rust works as resident DJ at trendy Moscow club “TM” (“Technics of Youth”) and tours Russia constantly. Perfectly combines fat jackin’ house and reduced elastic techno in his sets. Grad Famous Russian house DJ and co-owner of Bumpy Traxx label. Anatoly himself describes his style as “sexy house” and it seems to be true. One of the most in-demand touring artists in Russia — every weekend he plays his fantastic sets in 2 or 3 cities around the country. Grad is truly a legend in the Russian house music scene and his epic Free Your Mind parties and radio shows (as Spirit’s on Megapolis 89,5 FM) have set the golden standard in house music in Russia. This will be Grad’s second visit to Miami after a fantastic debut at Karu & Y during WMC 08. Sanches One of the pioneers of electronic sound in Russia. Sergey Sanches has been a permanent resident DJ of Moscow’s famous Propaganda (named one of the top 100 world clubs by DJ Mag UK) for over a decade!
