Last year mulletover took to the skies and joined an exodus of new ears heading to Croatia. The Garden Festival of Zadar has expanded into a summer long series of events and this year mulletover will stage two more episodes in the sun. The two days feature the infamous Argonauty boat party that leaves shore on a pirate’s ship and sails into the Adriatic evening. Plus an afterhours session will be staged at Barbarellas nightclub, a circular retro hub that opens onto an outdoor area of white beds by the sea.
The first affair on 15th July follows and is an extension of the official Garden Festival. Offering a chance to sample a variety of artists during the previous weeks and let mulletover close the proceedings, or alternatively dipping your toes straight into what they have to offer. mulletover have lined up Einzelkind, Meat and resident Geddes to tempt your tastebuds for this episode. Einzelkind are behind the La Pena label, one of the most respected projects to arise in recent years. Voodoo was a vital part of their upbringing in Cuba within a family of 17, they often record their shaman rituals for their tracks, giving them a heavy spiritual feel. They rejoin mulletover after some of our most memorable performances in London over the last year.
Meat has become one of mulletover’s fondest visitors. His ethos of electronic nightlife, formed from Robert Johnson in Frankfurt, is perfectly in tune with what mulletover have set out to achieve. Never compromising on quality of sound, music and atmosphere. Completing the bill is Geddes, founder and resident of mulletover, plus label owner and producer, his musical guidance has brought each great success.
The second episode of the summer will take place on 19th August, cushioned by the parties of Electric Elephant and Below and Asylum’s Like Minded. This one brings the artists from Cecille to the table, currently techno’s most successful label. Performances are lined up from the label-head and musical director, Nick Curly, Germany’s biggest success story of the last year and their rising star, Robert Dietz. Within these two festivals, mulletover align special music with special people.
