And he’s coming with a specific mission in mind. We’ve asked him to dig DEEP into his extensive vinyl collection, blow the dust off the some proper old floor fillers, and lay down 3 hours of glorious CLASSIC HOUSE AND DISCO. YES YES YES!
Simon really is a DJ that should need no introduction. Pretty much the guardian of proper dance music in Sydney, he’s been plying his trade and moving musical minds since the early 1990’s. Avoiding the stifling 'style' classification that so many other DJs trap themselves into, he draws from deep, soulful house, techno, funk, jazz, electro, booty, hip hop and anything else which catches his ear.
He’s played along side a list that reads like a who’s who of dance music. Theo Parrish, James Brown, DJ Sotofett, Todd Terje, Rolando, Herbert, Claude Young, Maurice Fulton, Grace Jones, Derrick Carter, Vakula, Moodymann, Actress, Onra, Moritz von Oswald, Charles Webster, Fred P and Frankie Knuckles – on and on and on it goes.
He currently holds down Monday Sunset on FBI Radio, and is resident/co-promoter of marvellous Mad Racket. He’ll be making his Rotarydisco debut on Friday the 14th of October, so we do hope you’ll join us.
