Though the Canadian star Kenny Glasgow has spent the last 5 years as the half of the acclaimed duo ART DEPARTMENT, functioning as a musical engineer, composer of both music and lyrics and vocalist, he is now returning to his solo roots. Before he started touring the world, releasing influential full-lengths, headlining major festivals and gracing the cover of taste making magazines with Jonny White, Kenny Glasgow already had a cult and loyal following dating back to the early nineties! Joining Mr. Glasgow is STEREO MONTREAL's Ostrich, playing both on the club and roof levels, and Philip Goyette who will start things off.
Silence In Metropolis' Jus Nowhere lays a minimal yet exotic foundation on the roof. djmeegs's Cider House Mules is back in the Bar with Philadelphia's Patrick Barry and WhiskHER's Tezrah, plus half-off all ciders and mules 8-11PM.

Before he started touring the world, releasing influential full lengths, headlining major festivals and gracing the cover of taste making magazines with Jonny White, Kenny Glasgow already had a cult and loyal following dating back to the early nineties!
The jewel in his solo crown to date is ‘A Taste of the Low Life’, a stunning debut solo LP that was a dark and gritty fusion of electronic styles on No.19 Music, and fans will be delighted to know a follow-up is the works on the same label. Aside from this standout highlight, he also released a number of perfectly formed EPs on labels like Jinx, Roger Sanchez’s Narcotic and Family Recordings and came correct as part of Method Men and Unabomber with musical partner Mario J, racking up remixes for the likes of Strictly Rhythm and Azuli. Now he is back focusing on his solo career again and has plenty lined up for 2015.
Glasgow first became immersed in the scene as a promoter, putting on illicit warehouse parties in his native Toronto before progressing to become resident at acid house mecca The Buzz and later the world famous Industry Nightclub. It was there that he picked up a sense of what worked dance floors, both in terms of DJing and production. Always putting these lessons to great use whether solo or with Art Department, his own emotive, tortured sounding and unique gravelly vocals have very much become his trademark.
As such his forthcoming LP and other musical projects will likely bare these hallmarks, as will the music he releases on the new label he is setting up with cohort Mr White, under the banner title of Social Experiment. It takes its name from the club nights and mix series No. 19 Music have overseen and will focus on only the most compelling club focused music. Like the entirety of Kenny Glasgow’s career, this next solo chapter is to take him to the finest clubs and festivals around the world armed with a knowing and considered bag of music that will be put together in the sort of compelling ways only an artist of his standing can.
OSTRICH:
Ostrich found passion for art, especially in music and films. It wasn’t until 2003 when Montreal-based artist Ostrich explored the depths of his talents as a DJ, producer, and an aspiring filmmaker. His sound carries various flavors of techno that is bound by deep house. His narrative approach to DJ sets under the Ostrich moniker, allows his art to speak through music.
Summer of 2009 marked a giant leap when Ostrich and Maher Daniel signed “Haute Couture” to Tiefschwarz’s imprint, Souvenir Music. This release garnered lots of praise and was played by the likes of Richie Hawtin and Seth Troxler, including being featured on John Digweed’s Transitions radio show as well as selected for Andre Galluzzi’s mix CD compilation, “The Sound of Berlin 2010.” Another collaboration of Ostrich & Maher’s entitled “Hypnosis” landed on a Leftroom Records compilation selected and mixed by Ryan Crosson and Matt Tolfrey.
Whether it was working as the house and techno buyer at the now defunct Inbeat Music record store, actively DJing at various clubs and festivals in Canada, in addition to inviting a plethora of international guests to the city; Ostrich has spent over a decade educating and reviving Montreal’s local music scene and its enthusiasts. Currently proud of where his efforts had led towards the overall maturity of the local scene, it’s time for him to leave the nest and take his passion on the road and around the globe. His talents have led him to play at Berghain/Panorama Bar in Berlin, Output in New York, BPM Festival in Mexico, Club Vertigo in Costa Rica, D-Edge in Sao Paulo, in addition to being invited by Guy Gerber and Danny Tenaglia for their own respective parties in
Miami.
These days you can find Ostrich at Stereo in Montreal where he handles the club’s programming in addition to holding down a residency and playing alongside many of the industry’s heavyweights such as Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Marco Carola and countless others on a monthly basis.
