INTRO Electronic Music Festival Enters Shanghai
If Beijing is seen as the center of Chinese electronic music culture, then Shanghai would be its most radiant moon. As a historically international city, Shanghai is an important place of cultural communication and collision. INTRO was born in 751 D-Park, which was a former industrial area in Beijing. The metal and machinery of industrial was a perfect fit for an electronic music festival. In Shanghai, the festival will come back to this sort of feeling with the EXPO stage (the former BAOSTEEL stage). This environment will give INTRO a feeling of coming back to “home” in Shanghai. As the theme of Shanghai INTRO, “Back to the Original” is a reminder to both the organizers and the attendees to keep the intention of the festival in mind.
