After a sizzling hot session in July, Lustgarten returns to Prince Charles at the end of November to bring some much needed warmth to Berlin’s greyest month. Once again we’ll get cozy with a carefully curated, musically diverse line-up.
Timeless, nuanced and emotional – three words that come to mind when listening to Tevo Howard’s singular vision of Chicago house. Born and bred in the Windy City, Tevo’s soulful drum machine workouts ooze the very passion and rawness forever associated with the birthplace of house. With seminal releases on his self-titled label, as well as on Rebirth, Permanent Vacation, Crème and Rush Hour, there’s plenty of material for the ever-productive Tevo to pick from for tonight’s live-set.
Fellow Rush Hour comrade Interstellar Funk has come of age in Amsterdam’s vibrant scene, like so many of our previous DJ guests. With a residency at Trouw and regular gigs at De School, releases on and work at Rush Hour, his tracks for Tape Records, Dekmantel and Voyage Direct, and a fearless approach to DJ’ing, he celebrates music without boundaries – just the way we like it!
While our residents James Martin and Christopher Breuer will, of course, play support, we are delighted to welcome Johannes Albert back after headlining our very first Lustgarten in 2013. Being no stranger to Prince Charles’ booth, the Frank Music boss and all-round selector knows how to work the crowd with a versatile bag and lots of love.
