First generation Detroit techno DJ & Producer Anthony 'Shake' Shakir has been in the game since the early 80s, appearing on some of Metroplex's earliest releases and has developed a solid body of work since then. He now realeases records on his label Frictional Recordings. Shakir is also a hard hitting DJ so we can't wait to hear what he has in store!
New Jersey native Joey Anderson has come to the forefront of underground dance music in the last several years with his release of two LPs on the Dekmantel label. His sound and selections are truly unique and DEEP and is "on some Mozart shit" according to Fred P. His set will be nothing short of face-melting.
Jorge Velez has produced a wide variety of electronic music since the early 90s ranging from the ethereal compositions of Animals Disk recently released on L.I.E.S. to his stripped down house and techno compositions released on the MMT Tape Series on Rush Hour. He also has a brand new record out on London's Berceuse Heroique! Jorge seldom plays state-side so we're very excited to present a rare, live hard-ware House set!
