Occasion Vibration and NoFomo present a Live at Robert Johnson label showcase featuring Massimiliano Pagliara and a debut U.S set from Philip Lauer.
Italian born, Berlin based Massimiliano Pagliara has been DJing for going on 15 years, and has released dozens of records on some of our favorite labels, including Live at Robert Johnson, Love on the Rocks, Uncanny Valley, Cocktail d'Amore, Correspondant, and more. His 2016 The Violet Hour project with Fort Romeau is easily one of our favorite releases of the year. Massi is a true "DJ's DJ", known for seamlessly weaving together timeless sets of italo, disco, house, techno and electro. His eight hour Monday morning Panorama Bar sets are the stuff of legend, and we're excited to bring that sound to a Portland dancefloor.
Philip Lauer has been DJing and producing music since the late 1990s, as himself and as a member of Tuff City Kids (with Gerd Janson), Arto Mwambe and Black Spuma. His synth driven, disco tinged house music has been released on mainstays such as Running Back, Permanent Vacation, Beats in Space, and of course, Live at Robert Johnson, where he also holds a DJ residency. He's widely heralded as one of the best producers in the game, and his DJ sets are not to be missed.
