Fri 20th January Something Else changes things up and takes you on a Dub trip.
Something Dub is a new side project exploring the dubbier sounds around, this event we're focusing on dub reggae, dub house & dub techno with some of Sydney's finest digging deep into their collections.
Deepchild (live dub session)
From seductive, stripped-back techno injected with deep, dub-inflected excursions, Deepchild is a thoughtful and impossibly intelligent techno producer who’s electrifying live performance can leave you spellbound. It's Deepchilds 2001 album "Chocolate Dubs" that really made us fall in love with his craft all those years ago (check it out for FREE YO; https://deepchild.bandcamp.com/album/chocolate-dubs). Since then Deepchild sound has ebbed & flowed with the tides of techno, but when you close your eyes and take a good listen you'll always find dubby elements in all of his sounds.
