This month Papadiso has pulled out all of the stops to bring an epic line up for Egg in Kings Cross. On 12 November Italian house don Claudio Coccoluto makes a rare UK performance. Italian DJ/remixer/producer Claudio Coccoluto (aka Coccodance) began playing music for fun in 1980. Captivated by experimentation and the electronic synth dance/pop known as house, the newcomer in the local club/dance scene became a professional after issuing his first remixes. In 1997, Claudio Coccoluto launched his own independent label called The Dub and his own recording studios to start working on different projects such as the remix of Tito Puente's classic "Oye Como Va," Adamski's "Take Me Away," and ex-Spice Girls Geri Halliwell's "Mi Chico Latino." Claudio's residency at the infamous Naples night "Angels of Love" earned him respect across the world and he became the only Italian DJ to play NY's Sound Factory. A regular to Europe’s house scene Claudio is Italy’s biggest export headlining festivals to Ibiza’s largest venues. Check out what has made him famous around the world. Joining Claudio will be Eric Pritz. Stockholm born Prydz smashed into dance music with the wave of Swedish dance tracks that crossed into the mainstream in 2005. Influenced by the quality of the ‘first generation’ of Stockholm talent, such as Håkan Lidbo and Adam Beyer, the Prydz sound is a fusion of Depeche Mode esque early-electronica with a nod in the direction of those catchy 80’s melodies. Combine this with the stimulus of artists such as Alexander Kowalski and labels such as ‘Underground Resistance’ and your almost there. Working from his underground (literally) studio in the heart of Stockholm, Prydz creates hard-hitting tunes. With an obvious talent for writing hooks and melodies, be it house or techno; Eric creates hard-hitting tunes with a firm foundation in funk and of course an emphasis placed smack bang in the middle of the dancefloor exploring the darker side of house music.
