Due to circumstances totally beyond ours & venue’s control, we are not allowed to use any amplified sound on the roof terrace on Sunday. However be assured that we will still have DJs playing on the terrace, for you to come and find out how!
We are going to make the most of this fabulous & unique outdoor space and the sunshine promised by the Met office with Balearic acoustic guitar sessions, Tropical BBQ & punch, fun & games in addition to our already fantastic terrace line-up!
We have beefed up all indoor sound systems and installed a smoke machine in the downstairs club, so remember our party is a 15 hour musical feast!

After an Easter Sunday party which saw over 800 disco devotees dancing to the small hours of Monday morning, we proudly announce the details of May Bank holiday’s very special Tropicana roof top party & all nighter taking place on Sunday 3rd. The daytime party will kick off on the rather fabulous roof top terrace 5 floors above the newly opened Queen of Hoxton with panoramic views of East London. This rather amazing Roof Terrace has a lovely 300 capacity having been plushed up with astro turf flooring, Bamboo fencing, its own cocktail bar (as it is Tropicana), Palm trees and the venue's caterers laying on a tasty BBQ for the day time session. The party starts early afternoon on the full function one sound install gradually building up through the afternoon and into the early evening to get everyone in the party spirit. The rooftop location will be decorated in true Tropicana style for the party as Neil & Dan continue their series of very special monthly terrace parties. Even if the weather plays up don't worry, provisions will be made to make sure the party goes ahead, promise!
Once the rooftop terrace party finishes mid evening we’ll take the party downstairs to the 550 capacity 2 floored Queen of Hoxton for a proper all night bank holiday session to take things a little bit darker in the booming basement club & a proper disco session in the ground floor bar (Day ticket holders get in for nothing). Graeme began producing in his early teenage years, making a skewed blend of electronic music using a couple of his dad’s old drum machines and a sampler. Influenced by his parents collection of rock, soul and funk as well as eighties daytime radio and the burgeoning rave scene, he began the process of dissecting and re-imagining the music. As a means to get some of these productions out, Graeme set up label Five20East in 1999 with brothers Scott & Ross Langleyas an outlet for their own productions. His own productions for Five20East and his DJ-only edits for L.E.S.S. Productions have had across-the-board support from scene heavyweights including Danny Krivit, Jimpster, Radio Slave, Prins Thomas, Fabrice Lig, Todd Terje, The Unabombers, Karizma, SWAG, Dan Ghenacia, Gilles Peterson, Ashley Beedle, Domu, Kissy Sellout, Joe Claussell, Stuart Patterson, Atjazz, Bill Brewster, Phil Asher, Tim Sweeney and more.

Austria`s capital Vienna has been famous for its unique musical output for quite a few centuries. After Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Falco, now Vienna based Diskokaine is on the way to take the world by storm with his production talent. Diskokaine says about himself “My mother says that my haircut looks like shit! my dad doesn’t care about that but he thinks that i can’t deal with money....especially the money i don’t earn by myself! several promoters from moscow, nyc, london, rio de janeiro, chicago, paris etc. invited me in the last 12month to play their parties. Somehow they didn’t invite me ever again. Nevertheless I'm more into making music by myself instead of mixing 2 records together. I rarely do remixes since mostly I think the original is anyway better. but for guys like "Moby" i had to do it since my mother loves him....and I love my mama. I executive-produced the project "Sally Saphiro" which just was nominated "Best Album Of The Year" next to guys like Justice at the NYC "Plug Awards" where she did one of her rare live appearances sharing stage with NICK CAVE. That makes dad proud because he likes Nick Cave.
I also did music with lovely people like Princess Superstar, Alexander Robotnick and Legowelt to name a few....
Frank Tope
From illegal afterhours blues dances in Brixton to living it up on the terrace of Space in Ibiza, Frank Tope has spent the last decade rocking dance floors with a fresh, open-minded ‘play whatever rocks’ attitude that joins the dots between sweaty house and crisp techno with the drama of long-forgotten electronic disco and jacking Chicago classics. Having graced the decks at, amongst many others: Bestival, Fabric, Faith, Lovebox, Bugged Out, Horsemeat Disco, Mulletover, Disco Bloodbath, The Key, Whistle Bump, Secret Sundaze and the Chemical Brothers’ Glint parties, Frank is on a mission to save house music from boredom with the help of a lot of dusty disco vinyl and a fierce mixing style, digging deep into an immense record collection to throw in the last thing you’d expect at just the right time, combining heavyweight basslines and Latin percussion with enough of his trademark acapella vocals and dubbed-out sound FX to turn any club into a party and any dancefloor into a mass of smiling girls with their hands in the air.
Neil Thornton & Danny Clark (Tropicana)
Neil & Danny are the boys behind the Sunday Disco sensation Tropicana which has has taken East London by storm. Previous guests have included djs Brennan Green, Trevor Jackson, Justin Miller, Mook & Toof, Greg Wilson, The Idjut Boys, Bill Brewster, Andy Blake, Disco Bloodbath, Wandy, James Priestley, Leo Elstob, Foolish Felix, Ivan Smagghe, Tim Paris, Dave Jarvis and Diesel, Toby, The Bad Passion and Cosmic Truth boys. Neil and Danny are currently working hard on some very special events in the pipeline for the Spring/ Summer including an action packed Easter Thurs all night party and some very special rooftop summer terrace parties. The boys have played at some of the capitals coolest spots including Secretsundaze, Faith, Fabric and The End alongside East London warehouse and all night disco's
Ali Tillett & Rob Summerhayes (Warm)
Ali and Rob are the Warm residents whose monthly night at Plastic People is always rammed to capacity. It is the 10 year anniversary of Warm this year and they are planning some big parties. After their fantastic set @ our Easter party we had to get them back.
