With Thugs & Hugs music policy keeping true to what we started, for April 09 we present our weirdest and most wonderful show with LA’s !nest Project Blowdians Busdriver and Subtitle aka Giovanni Marks, AND welcome back Harlem’s peerless chef/curator extraordinaire, Dante Lorenzo Gonzales aka Mr Dante Fried Chicken. Thugs & Hugs present two legendary MCs from LA’s underground with a pre-show speakeasy dinner - the T&H x DFC pop-up restaurant. KFC. RIP.
From 6pm – 8pm Thugs & Hugs do-over The Legion into a pop-up Dante Fried Chicken restaurant, a speakeasy dinner for 50 luckymes, hosted by Mr DFC himself and Thugs & Hugs founders Patchwork Pirates. There will be exclusive screenings of The Dante Fried Chicken Show, a two course DFC Creole soul food menu with the untouchable Thugs & Hugs soundtrack. From 8.30 – 2am Thugs & Hugs is back with live performances from Busdriver celebrating the drop o" his new album “Jhelli Beam”, and LA-to- Montreal-to-Berlin transplant, Subtitle aka Giovanni Marks, lynchpin of Briefcase Rockers, the crew that February Thugs and homies Lazer Sword rep. Project Blowed is in the house. Patchwork Pirates are on the decks with late night DFC screenings and snackz.
