Special Request
Special Request is the rugged alias for house and techno stalwart Paul Woolford. Inspired by the unruly conventions of UK pirate radio stations, this project captures the raw energy and diversity of the illegal airwaves and uses this as a springboard of inspiration for a series of heavyweight productions that span from murky house through darkside techno to chaotic eye-of-the-storm hardcore/jungle tear-outs. The end results are incendiary.
The Leeds native is usually known for his techno-based material and has become affiliated with Carl Craig's Planet E label in Detroit and also Scuba's Hotflush imprint. However, this new moniker serves as a channel for a much more physical, rough around the edges sound, fusing the energy of the hardcore and jungle wonder years with modern production techniques and a seriously heavy aesthetic. As the producer put it himself "Special Request is the ruffage, the rowdy younger brother" of his previous Paul Woolford output.
Altern8 (Live)
Altern-8 is a British rave duo, featuring Mark Archer and Chris Peat. Best known in the early 1990s, their trademark was loud electronic tracks with a heavy bass line. On stage and in music videos, such as that for "Evapor-8", Altern-8's members wore facemasks and chemical warfare suits. The band was signed to Network Records based in Stratford House, Birmingham, England.
We have them LIVE in Sheffield for the first time in a very long time indeed!!!! OH YES!!!

Cool as a cucumber this one. Willow Smith from Manchester is a new rising star. Debuting on Workshop she's already proving herself worldwide to be a superb dj with impeccable taste and skills. We can't wait to have her back after her first appearance at Hope Works back in Feb!
Nebula 2
Nebula 2 first came to light back in 1991 with one the rave generations all time classic tunes 'The Seance'. Hailed for being part of the legendary Fantazia raves, The success of this track put Joe Shotter & Richard McCormak into the rave hall of fame. From the success of Nebula's releases Joe & Richard (Shot1 & DJ COZ) along with MC rimz & Jungle dancing Peter 'E' (BIG UPz) started of the North's first hardcore club in Doncaster. The Warehouse (BYO) became on the the best venues in the country. Dj's such as Groove Rider, Fabio, Frankie Valentine, Easy D (Rave Captin), Jumpin Jack Frost, Carl Cox and many more span tunes to a virginal crowd who were intent of raving till the end! "One more for the rush"... Legends!
