- We welcome you to a festival weekend full of cutting edge underground dance music the 18th and 19th of August 2017. Currently the first batch of the festivals line up has been released. More artists to come. In addition to a strong musical program Sommerøya open air festival will curate their areas with contemporary art and urban expressions from a variety of local and international artists. This years edition will be held at SALT, an amazing new location just by the fjords of Oslo, among huge wooden structures as the playground. The location is adjacent to the world famous Oslo opera house. Several giant Arctic inspired pyramids, looming 12 meters tall will serve as an epic backdrop for the festival featuring epic indoor and outdoor stages.
