Reworks Festival is a music & contemporary art festival which is running for its fifth year and its regarded as the biggest music event in the city today. Its purpose is to present & establish various forms of electronic music & its relation to image to the Greek audience. Based on the preview of contemporary cultural ideas and forward music thinking within the urban environment took place in Thessaloniki, Reworks is considered as a touchstone for the music and creative arts in Greece and each of its previous editions is a landmark in the evolution of forward thinking entertainment. Hovering between static and ecstatic, Reworks has hosted in its piers an array of influential musicians, creative artists of both local and international origin and has captured the zeitgeist of the naught-ies.
The success of Reworks has simply relied on its interactive character which transmits it to a real experience for its participants and viewers as well as the presentation of whatever fresh and new hosting artists for the first time in the country as well as presenting various label showcases. The location is a complex in one of the most historical parts of the city.
Apart from the music, Contemporary art is also been presented with extensive installations & excibitions are also taking place in 2 amphitheatres and surfaces within the festival area.
