- The Glade area is back at the heart of Glastonbury Festival again this year, with some top artists playing across its five different areas during the course of the long weekend. Renowned DJs Sasha & John Digweed will be doing an exclusive back-to-back set on the Glade Stage on Saturday night, a real treat for music fans as this is only one of a handful of UK shows this year. On Thursday night, The Orb take over the Glade Stage for a rendition of their seminal debut album Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld, plus assorted other Orb favourites, with lynchpins Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann joined by various Orb affiliates like Youth, Gaudi and Steve Hillage for a cosmic spectacular. This all with the sonic experience of the Funktion One Experimental Soundfield. Goldie has a new album out in June, The Journey Man, his magnum opus. To celebrate, he’ll be dropping tracks from the LP, Metalheadz label cuts and other drum & bass sizzlers to nice up the dance on the Friday. And Seth Troxler and Jamie Jones will be bringing the disco-tech vibes at newly-located area Lovebullets, a tent that will also be playing host to extravagant Spanish party-starters Elrow on a couple of nights, as well as other quality underground DJs such as Jackmaster.
