Red Bull Music Academy presents: AVA Festival Closing Party

  • Red Bull Music Academy and AVA Festival join forces for a special closing party on Sunday with iconic Scottish x Irish duo Optimo, celebrating 20 years of their legendary Sunday parties. Begun on a Sunday night in November 1997 at Glasgow’s Sub Club, JG Wilkes and JD Twitch have risen to worldwide fame with a music policy and party attitude that crosses borders and philosophies of all kinds. They will be joined by Belfast’s electronica trailblazer David Holmes, Defected cohort Stuart Watson, rising producer Quinton Campbell Jonny Carberry of Dirty Talk Club and local mainstays Stuart Watson, LOR and Dave McDonogh. AVA Festival has fast become one of Ireland’s leading electronic music events, offering festival-goers the chance to explore equipment and take part in workshops and conferences, and of course, to enjoy a full slate of DJs and live performances. This year’s festival will feature the UK debut of Encounters of the Fourth Kind by Jeff Mills and Guillaume Marmin, plus sets by Ben UFO, Marcel Dettmann, Denis Sulta, and Fatima Yamaha live, as well as many others.
