  • Limited Capacity Funktion-One sound This September Friends of Friends will return with an authentic Warehouse Day Party tucked away in the middle of the CBD complete with all the trimmings, including a full Funktion-One soundsystem provided by Full Throttle Entertainment. Featuring well-loved British DJ, producer and label owner, Red Rack’em and Melbourne’s first lady of disco, CC:DISCO, this will be unmissable. Shall we? Red Rack'Em Danny Berman (aka Red Rack’em) is a respected DJ, broadcaster and producer with a colourful 20 year journey behind the turntables. Initially an aspiring junglist, at the age of 19 he was abruptly thrust onto the peak time of a huge drum and bass rave in Bristol to cover for Randall who was stuck in traffic. ‘One minute I spinning mellow tunes in room 3, next minute I was in front of 1000 people with MC Jakes barking ‘Rewind’ at me’. He somehow survived this baptism of fire, which led to further bookings alongside Andy C, Scratch Perverts and Roni Size. Danny also keeps himself busy running 3 well-regarded record labels, Bergerac focuses on the strictly dancefloor bangers with support from Midland, Ben UFO, Magda, Joy Orbison and Mosca. Smugglers Inn focuses on fresh talent unearthed on his much loved radio show. Nettles is a bit more naughty with Dannys secret disco weapons receiving plays from Crazy P and Todd Terje. CC:DISCO! Less chin stroking, more dancing”. CC:DISCO’s t-shirt really says it all. Playing disco, house and boogie cuts with her heart at the controls, CC triggers a joyous feedback loop that infects the dancefloor. There’s no pretention, only pure feeling. In recent years, CC’s devotion has seen her graduate to touring DJ and main stage festival act. She’s lapped Australia three times in 12 months and ticked a large chunk of her bucket list - opening for Theo Parrish in Auckland, soundtracking the romantic Adriatic Sea at Dimensions and Soundwaves, Boiler Room and Meredith’s coveted Supernatural Amphitheatre, as well as making her mark between Move D and Moodymann at Strawberry Fields, cloaked in a tarp as the crowd rain danced through a belting storm.
