OCL Records is the music imprint of Goa-based creative house Orbs Cure Labs. Run by music producers Pulpy Shilpy and CudaWuda, the label in invested in independent music and sonic subcultures from around the world. OCL Records launches it's first V/A compilation Swarm Intel Vol 1 on May 6, 2022, marking its tiny presence in the gargantuan world of music.
Swarm Intel is an attempt to bring together like minded creators that revolutionize electronic dance music with their experimentation, irreverence to formula, and unique methods of creation.
The compilation will be released for sale exclusively on Bandcamp, with distribution on Youtube and Soundcloud.
OCL is invested in building a support system for independent, underground artists. During the pandemic, they organised several concerts, parties and events to raise money for performing artists to sustain themselves, and to ensure there is transparency and independence all the way through. Financial sustenance for independent artists is a big focus in all that they do.
Stepping up to the new pandemic-reality, the label is an attempt to document and shape the sound of the future in a conscious and conscientious way.
