Choki Biki Records is a Dublin and London based label founded by DJ and Producer: Sharpson. The newly founded imprint aims to contribute to the 90’s rave revival with its various releases encompassing the generation’s sound that had influenced Sharpson in his youth; Breaks, Electro, Bass, UKG, Drum & Bass, Jungle, Rave, Acid, House, Hardcore, Hard Drum & Techno.

In 2022, Sharpson expanded his team to include Graphic Designer and Subtle FM DJ; Aaron Jones aka 2step.png, as well as Dublin Digital Radio residents MICK, a Garage DJ and founder of the Offcut collective, and Frame Shift a Dubstep and DnB connoisseur. The DJs' versatile musical influences and styles gel together perfectly in their infamous ‘Choki Biki DJ’ sets, a four way ‘Back to Back’ with Sharpson’s unique style of playing with the decks backwards as the cherry on top. With influences from UK club culture, a Choki Biki DJ set usually involves a 4-way b2b with the Choki Biki DJ’s playing Breaks, Techno, Electro, UKG and moving up to Footwork, Jungle and DnB, featuring rewinds, Hype on the mic and usually ending with an Open Deck set with the audience.

Shortly after its manifestation, Choki Biki released their first 12” Vinyl; Breaks For Days Vol.1. The 6 track compilation EP consisted of breakbeat, electro and jungle tracks produced by local talent including Sharpson, High Fidelity, Cedarwood State Trax, Presswork, Lee McConville and Decorum. The highly acclaimed EP has sold over 300 copies worldwide, and has been supported by the likes of BKLAVA, Ila Brugal, Solardo, DJ Gigola, Charlie Tee, Jaguar and has been featured on music platforms such as Boiler Room, BBC Radio 1, Ministry of Sound, Rinse FM and more.
