- The garage veteran will release his next album on Swamp81 in November.
Zed Bias will drop an album called Boss on November 18th.
Producing since the late '90s, Dave Jones—who also goes by the name Maddslinky—was one of the most prominent producers in the prime era of UK garage and early broken beat, and he was particularly influential on the wave of dubstep that would follow. Though he's been active in recent years, releasing a handful of albums on Tru Thoughts, it's his work with Loefah's Swamp 81 that's arguably garnered the most attention, including 2011's doublepack Stubborn Phase. "Me and Loe[fah] first chatted about me making music for Swamp81 in 2009 on tour in Australia," Bias is quoted as saying about the label in FACT, adding "It was then he first played me "Foot Crab" by Addison Groove, and I loved that. I’ve been sending bits to Loe since then really and it's been quite a selective process but in 2013 we got there."
Boss promises eight new tracks (ten on the digital), two of which feature Swamp 81 resident MC (and occasional producer) Chunky, along with '90s Chicago mainstay Roy Davis Jr. FACT also report that Bias is on the cusp of launching his own Biasonic imprint, and you can get a taste of that and his recent sounds in a mix from August.
