- The Canadian producer will release a 12-inch on Opal Tapes' vinyl offshoot in June.
Cloudface has the next 12-inch on Black Opal, the vinyl branch of UK label Opal Tapes, due out in early June.
Black Opal launched late last year as the official label arm for releasing vinyl, after a few 12-inch releases from the likes of Yves De Mey. The first Black Opal slab was a reissue of Patricia's techno tape Body Issues, but the second (and future instalments, apparently) comprises band new music, this time from Vancouver producer Cloudface. You might know David Reynolds as the synth obsessive who gave the rising Mood Hut label its first release, and he also had his 2012 album Wyre Drive recently reissued on vinyl by UK label Going Good. There aren't any clips of the release online yet, but if it's anything like past releases, we can probably expect some laid-back and gently psychedelic house jams. Check out a live set from earlier this year to get a handle on Reynolds' music.
