- The Austrian artist's second album will be released by Ninja Tune in September.
Dorian Concept has revealed details of his second album, Joined Ends, due out September 22nd.
The LP will land on Ninja Tune. The label says it "sits somewhere between a floating lucid dream and a deep trip into a synaesthetic wonderland," offering the latest evolution in his blend of jazz, hip-hop and synthy electronics.
Joined Ends is the culmination of a two-year journey, during which time the producer, real name Oliver Thomas Johnson, eased his tour schedule to create a record around the sounds of his own vocals, a Wurlitzer electric piano and a "handful of analogue synths."
?"I?'ve always been a fan of reduction, so working with analogue gear was a way for me to put my focus back on playing," says Johnson. "It feels like my first musical cycle is closing and the start of a new one." You can listen to one of the album's cuts, "Draft Culture," in full below:
