The ClekClekBoom boss will tour stateside in late February.
French Fries will mount a US and Canadian tour beginning with a gig in Austin on February 18th.
The Parisian artist, real name Valentino Canzani Mora, released Kepler, a sci-fi concept album influenced by Detroit techno, last year. That debut album represented a stylistic diversion after a string of boisterous, sample-heavy singles. The American tour follows the release of ClekClekBoom’s Various Cuts #1, a various artists EP that dropped on February 2nd.
After the Austin show, Mora will head to Oberlin in Ohio, where he'll play the Dionysian Disco with TX Connect. Following that bacchanal, he'll head to New York for a show at Cameo Gallery with L.I.E.S. mainstay Gunnar Haslam and Dubbel Dutch. French Fries' Chicago date will be presented by RBMA Radio at the Multi Kulti community center on the 21st. The following Thursday, he'll play Basement Movement in Boston, before heading to the Hot Mass club in Pittsburgh on Friday night. He'll wrap the trip on Saturday the 28th in Montreal.
