- Oliver Ho's Broken English Club and a new alias from The Hacker feature on the first EP, due out in late June.
Minimal Wave subsidiary Cititrax has revealed initial details of a new EP series.
The new endeavor will start with Tracks Volume 1. Michel Amato, the French artist best known as The Hacker has been brought aboard as Amato (the first time he's produced using just his last name). Oliver Ho will return with his Broken English Club project, which has already made two appearances on the label, including a solo EP in March 2015 called Scars. An-i, AKA Douglas Lee, who put out two records on Cititrax last year, will step up once again as well, and a track from tzusing, a Chinese producer affiliated with L.I.E.S., completes the record.
In keeping with Minimal Wave and Cititrax's penchant for uniquely colored vinyl and full artwork, this one will come on red-inside-clear wax (a digital version will also be available). Label boss Veronica Vasicka has handled the artwork, which was made from Polaroid photos taken in New York clubs during the '80s.
Tracklist
A1 Amato - Physique
A2 Tzusing - King Of System
B1 An-i - Mutter
B2 Broken English Club - Glass
Cititrax will release Tracks Volume 1 on June 23rd, 2015.
