- Palace Savant, the next solo album from Jesse Reiner, will arrive in September.
Jonas Reinhardt has a new album, Palace Savant, upcoming on Further Records.
Palace Savant is the sixth full-length for the project led by Brooklyn-based synth experimentalist Jesse Reiner. Initially his own endeavor, Jonas Reinhardt grew into a full band, but nowadays it's back to Reiner in solo mode. For this one, he drew inspiration from St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, a historic Gothic cathedral constructed by Peter Parler over 600 years ago.
In the press release for the album, Reiner sums up his approach: "I envisioned [Parler] retrofitting his cathedral with excesses of incandescent light, preparing for a coming age of electronics. Palace Savant is what a contemporary electronic performance in that space might sound like." You can try out a couple tracks over at the label's Bandcamp page.
