- The new collection prefaces the German imprint's move to split into several smaller labels.
Killekill will release its next compilation on May 23rd.
The Berlin-based label has been a source for hard-hitting techno and electro since starting up back in 2011. They've released records from the likes of Lakker, Bill Youngman, JTC and Alex Cortex, and in 2012 they released their first compilation, Megahits. Now they're returning to the idea for a second volume, this time featuring Bintus, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Lakker member Eomac, Furfriend and a collaboration between Cassegrain & Tin Man.
Megahits II also marks the beginning of a new era for Killekill. In a press release, the label says "we are constantly getting too many demos full with good music in way too many different styles to squeeze them onto one label," explaining their plan to split their main concern into "a line of new labels with different profiles." Exact details for that are still forthcoming, but Killekill do let slip that Umwelt will release an album for them later this year.
