- Out in April, the self-titled LP will come with artwork from longtime collaborator Jesse Kanda.
Arca will release his next album, Arca, via XL Recordings on April 7th.
The self-titled record is the London-based Venezuelan's third full-length, following Xen in 2014 and Mutant in 2015. It's 13 tracks long, comes with artwork by longtime visual collaborator Jesse Kanda and will be available on vinyl, CD and digitally. Arca has also announced a show at London's Roundhouse in support of the LP, scheduled for Friday, April 28th.
"Here’s my voice and all my guts: feel free to judge it," he says about the album. "It's like a bullfight: you're watching emotional violence for pleasure. So this is a character who, almost as a mockery of the transaction, goes uncomfortably deep, into self-mutilation. 'You want gore? Here's gore'"
Listen to the opening cut, Piel.
