It's part of a new project called Parallel, a weekly club night on Fridays that launches next month and aims to contribute to the local community.
Andrew Weatherall will play four consecutive Fridays at Phonox and raffle a piece of artwork for charity as part of a new initiative launched by the London venue.
The Brixton club's new night, called Parallel, aims to "give something back to the local community and people of London, outside the usual scope of club culture." The four-week residency, which runs March 2nd till March 23rd, will find Weatherall alternate between solo DJ sets and two back-to-backs—one on March 9th with Sean Johnston, with whom he runs the night A Love From Outer Space, and another the following Friday with Ewan Pearson. Once the residency ends Weatherall will raffle off a bespoke piece of art, with the proceeds going to Brixton Soup Kitchen.
