- The shadowy synth group have their fourth full-length ready to go for May.
Indie electronic gurus Black Moth Super Rainbow have returned to the studio and will emerge with their fourth full-length later this year.
Entitled Eating Us, it marks the first time that the shadowy group has enjoyed the benefit of a modern recording studio. Previous work took place presumably in garages and basements, judging by the sound of the group's lo-fi synth workouts, but this time around they've enlisted Dave Fridmann to man the decks. The result, from what we've heard thus far, is a deeper record that pulls them further away from the Boards of Canada-esque experiments of their youth. The press release is calling it a "dark bubblegum freakout," and we can't help but agree.
