The Argentinian offshoot of Montreal's Mutek festival will be celebrate its fifth anniversary this year.
One of the three major Mutek outposts—alongside Mexico and Chile—Mutek [AR] will be getting down in Buenos Aires with with a locally curated program of music and performances from September 18 to November 20. The program takes in a diverse range of styles, from disco and electro to dubstep and techno on through to psychedelic rock, industrial and minimal.
The Micro Mutek series is divided over three nights at Niceto Club, with international guests Akufen, Mathias Kaden, Qzen and Zombie Zombie. As always, the Mutek crew has a number of surprises up their sleeve: The rest of the programming includes audiovisual workshops, experimental performances and a concert by Sergi Jordà, in which she'll be playing the Reactable, which is as much treat for the eyes as it is the ears.
