- The Tel Aviv native will release his first artist album early next year.
Israeli producer Chaim Avital, better known simply as Chaim, is set to release his first full-length next February, entitled Alive.
The album will see release via BPitch Control, the Berlin-based label that has put out all of Chaim's music since 2008. As with many of his records so far, Alive presents a sentimental, pop-inspired take on tech house. "The term 'producer' seems too technical," he says. "For me it's about melodies, about songs. I make emotional music: it's a reflection of my life." Chaim attributes this style to his early rave experiences in Tel Aviv, when the music had a stronger feeling of unchecked euphoria. "This euphoric music has been forgotten nowadays. The musicians from back then are no longer active, but they still inspire me to this day."
Alive features all new tracks by Chaim, plus a new version of his single "Love Rehab" from earlier this year. Guest appearances come from flamboyant funk vocalist vocalist Snax and past Chaim collaborator Metial De Razon.
