- Consequence and Joe Seven have an album in the pipeline for Exit Records.
They Live will release their first album this May through Exit Records, entitled Cancel Standard.
The project is made up of drum & bass producers Joe Seven and Cameron Mclaren, AKA Consequence. Both appeared on record for the first time fairly recently; Mclaren debuted in 2009 with his album Live for Never, and Seven has just a handful of tracks so far, with Noisia as well as Mclaren (he also has a forthcoming single on Exit). On their own, both artists play an open-ended style of drum & bass that's typical of the Autonomic, Exit Records and NonPlus+ family, but together their sound is more experimental. Most of the tracks on Cancel Standard are downtempo or broken beat, and a few fully ambient numbers are included as well. The album follows They Live's debut 12-inch, Pure Palms / Don't Know What to Say, which came out on Autonomic this week.
