- Ssss will come out on Mute in March.
Details have been revealed for the first album by VCMG, entitled Ssss.
VCMG is Vince Clarke and Martin L. Gore, both founding members of the all-important Depeche Mode. The two haven't worked together for years, with Clarke leaving Depeche Mode in its early days. So it was much to Gore's surprise when Clarke emailed him out of the blue and asked if he'd like to work with him on a techno album—their first collaboration in 30 years. Gore agreed, and the two got started, each working in different studios and communicating mostly online.
Their first new work surfaced late last year in the form of EP1 / Spock, a five-tracker complete with remixes from Regis and DVS1. Ssss features the title tracks from that release and the forthcoming EP2 / Single Blip, plus eight previously unreleased productions. It was mastered by Stefen Betke, AKA Pole, and is due out in March on Mute Records.
