- Kompakt will release a new full-length from the German luminaries in April.
Mohn, the latest collaboration by Wolfgang Voigt and Jörg Burger, will release its first album in April.
Burger and Voigt are both exceptionally prolific musicians with decades of experience under their belts. Aside from being one of the main forces behind the German institution Kompakt, Voigt has released dozens of records under nearly as many pseudonyms since the early '90s, including respected avant-garde projects like Studio 1, Mike Ink and Gas. Burger has had his share of pseudonyms too, most notably Triola and The Modernist, and has played in some 40 odd collaborative projects, more than 10 of which have been with Voigt.
Mohn's self-titled debut album has a style that is quintessentially Burger and Voigt, combining elements of ambient, krautrock and experimental techno. It will be their first album together since [Las Vegas], their 1996 effort under the name Burger/Ink.
