The "festival for contemporary culture" will return to The Hague this November.
REWIRE will take place in The Hague this year from November 2nd through 4th.
Like last year, the weekend-long festival will take over various venues in the Hague for a multimedia event that includes a focus on visual art and installation as well as music. Exact details for venues this year have not yet been announced, but the festival promises locations such as a church, a parking garage and a power plant, which will be turned into spaces not only for performances but also lectures and workshops in the daytime.
The festival's bill as announced thus far is primarily electronic, headed up by LA beatmaker Nosaj Thing and Berlin's Shackleton. Reflecting the darker and more experimental side of the festival is Blackest Ever Black-associated act Black Rain, ex-Yellow Swans noise artist Pete Swanson and Norwegian drone duo Deaf Center. Synth-loving chanteuse Laurel Halo, Scottish techno producer Alex Smoke and UK group Rocketnumbernine will also make appearances.
