The Berlin-based producer's next LP will see release through Ninja Tune in June.
Emika has revealed details of her second album, Dva.
Since signing to Ninja Tune in 2010, the Berlin-based producer has carved a distinct sonic niche that combines dubstep, techno and experimental electronics. In addition to her self-titled 2011 debut album, she has released several EPs through the label and helped conceive Ostgut Ton's fifth anniversary compilation, Fünf. In that time she's also lent vocals to tracks for Tommy Four Seven, Paul Frick and My My, and been remixed by a host of respected artists including Marcel Dettmann, Kyle Hall, Pinch and Scuba.
Dva, which arrives two years after Emika, is described by Ninja Tune as an exploration of "oppression and freedom, be it political, sexual or artistic." For a taste of what to expect, you can grab a free download of Emika's cover of the Chris Isaac classic "Wicked Game" through her website. You can also watch a brief video teaser for the album below.
