- Four acts from the LA label will hit eight cities during August.
Eclectic LA label Stones Throw has announced an eight-show August tour of the West Coast.
Leading the team of four label acts is the head honcho himself, Peanut Butter Wolf, who'll play a "DJ/video show" according to a press release. Dâm-Funk is also confirmed, along with The Stepkids, the three-piece band whose next LP for Stones Throw, Troubadour, is due out on in September. They'll play their own set, and serve as the backing band for Myron & E, who just released Broadway, their full-length debut on the label.
The Stones Throw Soul Tour starts close to home, at The Glass House in Pomona on Friday, August 16th. Highlights along the way include a stop at Casselman's in Denver and at The Crocodile up in Seattle, before the tour finishes back in California by way of Oakland on Tuesday the 27th.
If you're in need of some Stones Throw sounds ahead of the tour, this ambitious twelve-hour mix from Peanut Butter Wolf, recorded for Boiler Room late last year, should help keep you occupied.
