- The Brit will mix the next instalment of Tempa's series, due out in July.
The next edition of Dubstep Allstars will drop on July 29th.
J:Kenzo is one of the most visible figures of a newer generation of dubstep producers who hew close to the genre's more traditional sounds. The Kent-based artist been releasing music since 2008 for labels like Argon and Roska Kicks & Snares, before finding a regular home on genre institution Tempa, where he released his debut album last year.
Dubstep Allstars Vol. 11 is his first commercially-released mix, and one where he tries to represent "a new wave of producers coming through that are really making more progressive music." The disc is meant "to showcase how dubstep has progressed so far over the years... these are the top artists and the top tunes that still keep it locked to the roots of the sound," according to Kenzo in an accompanying press release. It features tracks from producers like Icicle, Kryptic Minds, Amit and more, plus a handful of unreleased tunes from Kenzo himself.
The mix will be preceded by a four-track EP called Bloodlines, out on July 15th also through Tempa.
