The two veterans are the respective headliners for this month and September's events in Brooklyn.
Anthony 'Shake' Shakir and Regis are booked for Mutual Dreaming parties in Brooklyn.
The audio-visual brainchild of Aurora Halal, Mutual Dreaming has been host to a range of artists covering house, techno and beyond—Blondes, James T. Cotton, Andrés and Bookworms are among the guests so far in 2013. Halal also teamed up with RA back in June to throw a PAN_ACT party featuring Terrence Dixon.
At next Friday's gig at 285 Kent (the usual haunt for Mutual Dreaming), the out-of-town guest will be veteran Detroit selector Shakir. The local side of the lineup will be covered by a DJ set from Lori Napoleon and a live A/V show from Ital featuring Halal. Then, on Friday September 13th at a TBA location, UK techno icon Regis is confirmed for a DJ appearance. Minimal Wave label head Veronica Vasicka will also DJ, and Shawn O'Sullivan, another locally based artist with tracks out on L.I.E.S., The Corner and W.T. Records, will play live.
Tickets to both parties are available on RA.
