Panama City, Albuquerque and New York are some of the stops for the LA label's ongoing birthday shindig.
Culprit is in the midst of its fifth anniversary celebrations.
The label started in LA back in 2009 with a release from H.E.A.D.S., going on to count the likes of Subb-an, Lee Foss, MANIK and Adriatique among its ranks. Since the beginning it's grown into quite an empire of gigs and parties around the world, perhaps most famously the Culprit series of of summer rooftop parties in LA, which will have an early jumpstart this year with an April 27th show featuring Maya Jane Coles and Edu Imbernon.
From there, they'll begin a fifth anniversary tour that'll bring their artists all around the world, but only a few gigs have been announced so far. Justin Jay, a local who debuted on Culprit last year, will rep the crew in Panama City on May 10th and Albuquerque a week later on the 17th, and then he'll head to New York to join a larger crew with Lee Curtiss and UK label associates jozif and Matt Tolfrey for a special nighttime Culprit Sessions at Verboten. Tickets for that one are available on RA, and more five-year celebration gigs are set to be announced soon.
