The Swedish techno producer will fly across the Atlantic for a handful of gigs in October.
Abdulla Rashim will tour North America in October.
The Swedish producer has found favour with his droning and often abstract brand of techno, which he's released on Prologue, Studio Barnhus, Semantica and his own self-styled Abdulla Rashim Records. He also runs the Northern Electronics imprint, which released his debut album earlier this year, and he has a collaborative album with fellow Swede Varg under the name Ulwhednaron the way too.
Now he'll be making a relatively rare trip over to North America for two weekends, including his first gigs in Canada. First up, he'll play an Industry Of Machines night in New York on October 17th—this one will be a Prologue showcase also featuring label affiliates Mike Parker and Brendon Moeller (AKA Echologist). The next evening he'll head over to Seattle to play Kremwerk, for a party jointly point on by local crew Secondnature and Vancouver's It's Your Turn.
The next weekend, he'll appear in Canada for the first time—Montreal's Human Pause on the 24th, and Vancouver's Open Studios on the 25th. The latter is a show put on by Subversive, a local crew who have been on a bit of a tear in terms of recent bookings.
