- Stott's next album will arrive via Modern Love in November.
Andy Stott will release a new album on Modern Love on November 17th.
Faith In Strangers arrives two years on from Luxury Problems, an album that had "the inspired feeling of an artist truly finding his footing," according to a review by RA's Will Lynch. Stott's long-time home, Modern Love, will release the record. The label says Faith In Strangers lands "somewhere between Ron Hardy, Prefab Sprout, Dome, Actress, Cocteau Twins and Arthur Russell," and was built using instruments, field recordings, found sounds and vocals. It was recorded between January 2013 and June 2014, before the finishing touches were applied in July this year. Six tracks feature the vocals of Alison Skidmore, Stott's former piano teacher, who featured on Luxury Problems.
