- Portrait Of The Flying Sky is due out in June.
J.C.'s debut album, Portrait Of The Flying Sky, is scheduled for a June release on Soul People Music offshoot Boards.
You might know José Cabrera through his alias Kasper, but these days the Madrid artist more frequently produces as J.C. Bass Culture, Deeply Rooted House, and Tresor (along with the Esperanza imprint he co-founded with Papol) count among the labels that have put out his tracks, and he's already connected with Soul People Music boss Fred P. The two like-minded purveyors of house and techno's deeper sounds teamed up on a split EP that kicked off Boards back in 2013, the same year A Harmless Dead, the label Cabrera runs alongside Damián Schwartz, issued a Fred P record, and the same year a Kasper EP (with a Fred P remix) came out on Bass Culture.
Portrait Of The Flying Sky isn't just Cabrera's first full-length effort, but also the first to be released on Boards. Described in a press release as "thoroughly and resolutely heads-down and deep," the ten-track album features guest appearances from Dario Zenker, Tadeo (who helped mix and master the album), Kastil and Psynote.
