The LP, due out on Hospital Productions next month, was crafted using various bits of Roland gear.
Alessandro Cortini has a new album coming on Dominick Fernow's Hospital Productions called Risveglio.
Due out July 27th, the album is a follow-up to Cortini's 2014 debut for Hospital Productions, Sonno. As with that record, Risveglio was written by the Nine Inch Nails collaborator while he was on tour. It was created using three pieces of Roland kit: TB303, MC-202 and TR606. "The 303 can be such a haunting instrument used in a certain way," says Cortini. "I felt it completely fit the mood of the previous work I have done on the 202, especially when given a specific location in space....it's such a living instrument."
Cortini will perform music from Sonno and Risveglio at the upcoming Berlin Atonal festival, which runs from August 19th through 23rd.
