Varg, Damien Dubrovnik and Puce Mary will play three American dates in August.
Damien Dubrovnik, Puce Mary and Varg will head to the US for a brief tour beginning in mid-August.
Varg is the most well-known moniker for Swedish producer Jonas Rönnberg, a musician whose roots lie in black metal. Rönnberg entered the techno consciousness via releases on Abdulla Rashim's Northern Electronics label, and recently issued a EP-length collaboration with Vanity Productions on Posh Isolation, the label and shop co-founded by Loke Rahbek. The Copenhagen-based Rahbek is one-half of industrial/power electronics duo Damien Dubrovnik, who will join Varg on the US dates. As if to underline the amorphous nature of the Posh Isolation scene, Rahbek recently released a second LP made in collaboration with cathartic noise artist Puce Mary, who rounds out the tour's lineup.
Close peer Pharmakon will join at the New York show, which takes place on August 12th at Palisades. The next night, the trio of artists heads so San Francisco for a gig The Knockout where Nation records affiliate Kerri LeBon is on the decks.
They'll wrap things up at the second Beserktown festival, held over three days at The Observatory in Orange County. Varg plays on day one alongside acts like DJ Stingray and Ninos Du Brasil. Puce Mary and Damien Dubrovnik perform on day two. Silent Servant and Lust For Youth, a band which also features Rahbek, are also booked for the festival's second day.
