- The Chicago DJ and producer has also posted details for his own new label, Obvio.
Chicago techno artist Zach Lubin will release a 12-inch for UntilMyHeartStops callled Future Laboratories.
UntilMyHeartStops has already looked stateside for a couple of its EPs, putting to wax tracks from New Jersey's Joey Anderson as well as Area, AKA m50, another Chicago talent. This time, the London label has recruited Lubin, a longtime DJ and producer who has also used the alias Mumtaz.
He put out an EP, Controllability, on the Axis subsidiary 6277 in 2005; a little more recently, he's appeared on Area's label Kimochi with two records, Threshold (2012) and Zenith (2014) and has released on Parity Records and Ante Recordings, the latter being home to his seven-track digital album, Revisions Of You, earlier this year.
For UntilMyHeartStops, he's turned in a four-tracker called Future Laboratories, which looks to land (on vinyl only) in early November.
Lubin is also launching a new Bandcamp-based label, Obvio, which takes its name from the reggae label his father started in 1982. He describes it as an outlet for "future funk sci-fi urban techno and other innovative electronic music." Its first release, his own Urban Identity EP, is available now.
