- All three change hands for considerable sums on the second-hand market.
Dance Mania is reissuing three 12-inches.
Three of the most expensive, hard-to-find records in the Chicago label's back catalogue have been remastered for rerelease over the course of the summer. First up is Hums from Strong Souls, AKA Raymond Funnye, a four-tracker originally released in 1995. Funnye worked with Chicago house royalty like Larry Heard and Robert Armani back in the '90s before returning with new productions in 2013.
Next is The Funk Child from Dee Jay Nehpets, a 12-inch that routinely sells for over $100 on the second-hand market. It was executive produced by Paul Johnson and came out in 1997. The last record to be reissued is Playground Productionz's Orgy (XXX). It's an alias of Dance Mania regular DJ Deeon and was also released in 1997. Distribution is being handled by Dana Ruh and Jamie Fry's KMA60.
